The Tragedy of Nvidia
Do you remember just a couple years ago when graphics cards were judged by meaningful things like "frames per second" or "graphical fidelity"? Me too, but it seems Nvidia has lost the plot, blinded by their unending thirst for money yet again. Nowadays, Nvidia has effectively decided to treat gamers like a tiny side hustle to their new main best friend, AI companies. Because all the AI companies decided to buy out almost all of Nvidia's stock, consumers (me and you) have to pay a kings ransom for 30 frames per second in whatever AAA crap that's put on steam nowadays.
What does Nvidia have to say about this?
Despite what Nvidia says, they really couldnt care less about you. How can I tell? It's simple, just look at the corporate crap they put out on their website. AI, AI, AI. Nothing but AI. Who cares about performance in video games, you need AI performance according to lord Jensen! You would really expect for them to maybe I don't know, mention their biggest fanbase? Do they even remember who bought their cards to bring them to where they are now? You'd expect them to be more grateful, but Jensen needs his dime from whatever AI company of the month is at his door.
A translation chart for those who don't speak "soulless investor".
Because the only text on the Nvidia site is corporate lingo to get OpenAI to give them another small countries GDP worth of graphics cards for free so they don't go bankrupt, I've written up a simple translation chart for AI lingo to actual readable english for those who might be unable to comprehend gibberish and not be able to figure out what the borderline nonsense on the Nvidia website means.
| AI Buzzword | Actual English |
|---|---|
| "AI Frames" | We forgot how to make the GPU go faster, so we've just started guessing what the graphics look like. Who cares about accuracy, have some blurred slop! |
| "Edge Computing Client" | What you apparently are now. Not a gamer, just some bullcrap lingo term because calling you a gamer infront of the shareholders wouldn't be professional enough and might scare away the AI investors which Jensen needs so he can reach his boot licking quota for the day. |
| "DLSS 5" | We crammed every single Micheal Bay movie ever released into a piece of junk AI model that'll take 3/4 of all your VRAM to make every game you play look like hollywoods latest piece of reconstituted radioactive waste that technically qualifies as a "Movie". |
Here at NDC-World, we hope that simple translation layer came in handy so you too can decrypt the next generation of trash that Nvidia just can't wait to overcharge you for.
Closing thoughts and Silver lining
Overall, I'd say that Nvidia fell from grace like an old lady falling down the stairs of the empire state building. Don't think this is an ad for AMD by the way, they've been doing the same crap too. There is a silver lining to all of this though, maybe with the sheer hatrid generated by every gamer on earth due to Jensens idiocy, through some satanic ritual, the one and only 3dfx can be brought back to life and save us from the hell that is the modern GPU market. 3dfx sucked too, it's just that at least they cared enough to recognize gamers as an audience unlike Nvidia.
FINAL REVIEW SCORE: 2 Frames per Second out of 10, which mirrors what you'd expect with a modern low end Nvidia card on almost any video game from the last 6 years.

Hello, World!
After 2 years in development, I've finally decided to get off my butt and work on a blog for this site. I was mildly inspired by Something Awful circa 2001, so expect all sorts of crap to be posted here. For the most part, this site is gonna serve as my personal dumping ground for anything I want to say. Movie reviews, Video game reviews, life, etc.
Generally, don't expect anything forbes-worthy. I call this site "America's Worst Website" for a damn good reason. Anyways, I am not feeling very creative right now, so I'm going to wrap up this excuse of a introductory post right now. As a parting gift, I took 5 seconds of my free time to make a nice image to look at and also partially to prove image embeds work. Enjoy.

Hello!
