Introduction to the Snow.

Boy, It's been a long time. Now, I took a break from posting here for a couple reasons. Lack of new ideas, mostly. But also ever since a certain post that no longer exists, I've been trying to come up with the best way to make a sequel and proper followup to that post. Anyways, Winter is coming, and I got lots of stuff to say. Sit down and grab a drink, cause this post is a long one.

Alvord's Inferno
The Alvord project. Remember it? Recently, it's been getting a major amount of time invested in it purely because it's the only thing that I find fun to develop as of recent. I've shifted its major aspects to be SCSI based, made it entirely headless, and more. I plan on doing a lot more development on it in December/Janurary. One day it'll be real, and I'll win the dumb performance war.

The Microsoft Electric
In other news, I've had a OG Xbox for a while and forgot to tell you all. I got it during july I think, and it had a absolutely screwed motherboard because Microsoft did what they do best and cheaped out, this time on capacitors. I got really unlucky and got capacitors that leaked so bad the motherboard was E-waste. Anyways, just recently I bought a new motherboard and Hard Drive so I can have a functioning Xbox. I plan on playing Halo CE, Halo 2, some homebrew, and screwing around on Insignia. It's gonna be a lot of fun!

Nathan's World
Heres a blast from the past, the original version of the site! Do you miss the old version where I had an about me section? Me too! So I've revived it! It's right here! Now you too can enjoy my badass front page from 2025! For this special occasion, I'll tell you some fun facts about this site!

• FACT 1: the NDC in NDC-World means Nathaniel Dean Carman! Isn't that nice?
• FACT 2: the Alvord project is named after the Alvord desert in Oregon
• FACT 3: this site is hosted on a computer so unbearably slow it makes a crappy 50$ phone look like a supercomputer!
• FACT 4: I wrote this whole site myself. HTML sucks.
• FACT 5: A lot of this site is "insecure" (e.g. the links are http links) because if I didnt do that, it'd make old web browsers viewing this site (which they can do) not work. I've tried, only http links and supporting http fallback works.
• FACT 6: if you're still reading these facts, you're probably worthy of a medal for being the most curious person on earth!

Never Gonna Give You (the reader) Up.
Well, that's about everything I can think of to post. I've pumped more life into Alvord, revived ye olde homepage, and announced me doing stuff with my Xbox. How sweet. Anyways, theres 3 last things I wanna clear up before I go. Firstly, if you havent noticed, all the section names of this blog post are song references. If you understand them all, you get the prize of bragging rights. Don't be too humble with them! Secondly, my first Link of the Week. Yes, it's time for me to start doing those. Thirdly, there was a blog post on Sep. 1st. I say Was because it has been erradicated. I don't like posting political content, and noticing that post has seemingly NOT been put on the wayback machine, I realized I can get off scott-free by erradicating it from my site as the post was too political for my taste. Good riddance.

For Whom The Bell System Tolls
This weeks media is the Bell System Memorial! Now even you can pay respects to americas favorite dead telecom tyrant! They did a lot of good and a lot of charging people out the rear for basic telecom, but we must all admit they were pretty badass and invented a ton of stuff. Anyways, this is Nathan signing off, have a good one.
